Okay, so there's this series I read, and it's called The Immortals (the series after the Lioness Quartet). The main character's name is Daine, and the other main character's name is Numair. XD Numair, obviously, is a shape-shifter. When Daine first meets Numair, he's a hawk who broke his wing. (he got stuck in his hawk form) So she heals him, then he poofs back into being a human, but then his sorcery and shiz are all sucked dry. And while I was reading, I thought of this. XDD
